Countdown

It is not very long until my Clergy Renewal Leave (sabbatical) begins.  I have been through a wide range of thoughts and emotions.

Some moments I'm "chomping at the bit", and can barely stay focused.  Other moments, I'm worried about my congregation and staff.  I worry about those persons who are ill or struggling in some other way.  I worry about ministries and efforts that are "in process".  I worry about things I can't even fully form into words.

But, of course worry is my constant companion.  It is a major motivation of the time I'm taking, and one that I am hoping to leave in the desk when I walk away.
